Paul Yonemura and Friends - Erik Jekabson, Bob Kenmotsu, Frank Martin, Cindy Browne-Rosefield, and yours truly on drums, are part of an ongoing Sunday concert series, put on by the Livermore Jazz Society. It's a house concert, location TBA, plus it is livestreamed on FaceBook. There is a cover charge for in-person attendance and a suggested donation for the livestream, if you choose not to attend in person. Either way, we hope you'll join me and these fine musicians for a Sunday afternoon of new music! I'm also hoping to record this group in the near future, so keep an eye out for that as well!

This is a "trial balloon" for what organizer Steve Nakajo hopes to make into a regular event. Throughout the weekends in the month of June, there will be a variety of jazz groups performing at this lovely outdoor location. The events are free! There are a lot of shops and food places to go to. Come on out and spend a bit of your time with us on Sunday, June 26th! The group I'm leading will feature Erik Jekabson-trumpet, Bob Kenmotsu-tenor saxophone, Frank Martin-piano, John Wiitala-bass and yours truly on drums. This is the first time I've put a quintet together and I'm looking forward to our maiden voyage concert!
